Hi
I've found a couple of bugs with 2.1.9. One is pretty annoying, the other just minor.
The first and most annoying is that it seems that RD Tabs is randomly losing(forgetting) passwords. Even when you edit the favourite, the password is blank. I then re-import saved favourites and the password is there. I know I save the password for servers I regularly connect to, which is why I notice. Unfortunately I can't say exactly what causes it. The only thing I did before noticing it today was to create a new Favourites folder, then move on of my favourites to that folder.
The second bug is that if you set it to automatically start only 1 favourite, it won't auto launch that favourite. It works if you try to launch an entire folder though.

The second one should be easy to fix (autolaunch). The first one (disappearing passwords) I will need more information on how to reproduce. I save passwords too and have not yet experienced this problem. Just to confirm, it's happening after you manipulate one or more favorites, right? But not after importing them from an export file? I will try to reproduce by creating folders, moving favorites around and so forth, but any more information you can provide would be awesome! Also, what version did you begin to notice this behavior with? And what version were you using BEFORE the version that you noticed this problem?

Hi
I have only had the problem once when I did the move of the favourites and it doesn't happen all the time. My colleague has seen it more often but he is also using the 64 Bit version. I will ask him to pay more attention. I think this may have started with 2.1.8 though I have personally only ever had this with 2.1.9, and I have practically run every single release of RD Tabs you have had out in this forum.

Okay great. Since you two are regularly experiencing it, if you could come up with a reproducable scenario, that would help me TREMENDOUSLY. I haven't changed any favorites code in many versions, so it is likely present in pre-2.1.8. The only thing that 2.1.8 fixed with respect to favorites is the format of the export file itself. Pre-2.1.8 export files in the RDTSF format will not even import at all. All the folder and favorite editing code is the same. So this may be an obscure problem, but has probably been around for a while.

I examined the part of the code where the passwords are encrypted and decrypted and I may have found something. There's technically nothing wrong with what it does now, but I made the code more efficient and now have it cache stuff instead of constantly pulling it from storage. I don't know if this will fix the problem, but basically now if there is a read-lock on the file it gets key information from, that will no longer be a problem.

Thanks for the great effort. I'll upgrade shortly and ask my colleage to do so as well and I'll let you know in a few days how it goes.
