Hi Tim

I'm having an odd problem with redirecting drives that started a few weeks ago. I have all my favourites set to redirect just my C: and 😨 drives because I don't want it redirecting my mapped drives and CD Roms. As of a few weeks ago, it stopped redirecting the C: and 😨 drives. Instead it has been redirecting E: and F: (my two dvd/cd drives). Now no matter what drives I tick, it won't redirect C: and 😨, but if I tick "Always redirect all drives", though, it correctly shows all the drives including C: & 😨.

I have tried following these instructions with no change:

======================================
Next, uninstall RD Tabs From Programs and Features

Next, delete all files in...
c:\Program Files\Avian Waves\RD Tabs
%localappdata%\Avian_Waves\RDTabs.exe_***SOME RANDOM GUID***

Finally, make sure RD Tabs does not show up in the Programs and Features list by refreshing it (make sure the uninstaller didn't get corrupted)

Okay, now reboot.

Open an adminstrator command prompt.

Type...
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mstscax.dll

Reboot again!

Re-download RD Tabs (in case the installer is corrupted - also latest version is 2.1.22)

Install.

====================================

From About RD Tabs:

Version 2.1.22
RDP Control: Client 6 - Server 2008
Compiled CPU: x86

My OS is XP Pro

I hope you have some ideas as I really prefer to just redirect C: and D:

Thanks.

I wouldn't think uninstalling RD Tabs would have any effect. Those instructions are for if the actual RDP control is failing to load or RD Tabs is crashing or something along those lines.

Oddly, I'm getting the same effect right now on Windows 7 itself! Offhand, I don't know why that's happening... The Microsoft client is clearly working.

The Windows 7 client was recently released by Microsoft for other platforms (Vista/XP/2003). I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I wonder if it's a new bug in the API (this has happened before). :-)

I'll look into this and let you know if I find out how to fix it.

AH! I see the problem. the drive names in the 7 client have gotten a lot more descriptive. It used to be that the entire drive name was just "a" or "c" or whatever. Now it's like "Floppy Drive (A:)" and "System (C:)" and so on. This should be an easy fix. Expect an update later today.

Fantastic! I'm glad it's an easy fix and thank you once again for your fantastic support and program.
