I really like this application but I have an issue when I open 3 tabs. On the third tab, the mouse clicks are offset about 3.5 inches in the remote machine. Meaning, every time I click on something, the actual location of the click is about 3.5 inches to the right of where I'm visually clicking. The easiest way to demonstrate this is right clicking on the desktop. The context menu does not pop up next to the mouse pointer.

The WORSE part is that it's random. Sometimes the mouse is aligned, and sometimes its not. And since I'm clicking around in production servers, I can't take the chance (AGAIN!) of clicking on the wrong thing. I already got burnt by this once.

Like I said, this is a really nice app. If I can't find a solution to the mouse issue, at least this gave me some good ideas of rolling my own.

Are you using 2.1.22 or newer? This was resolved in 2.1.22.

I'm using 2.1.23 downloaded and installed today.
Host OS is Vista Ultimate.

Sure. I have 3 machines saved in my favorites. I open each 1. On the first 2 tabs, the clicks are correct. On the 3rd tab, the clicks are off. I have each configured as custom display 1680 x 1050, 16 bit color. Here's some more interesting info....If I click on the right side of the screen, the clicks line up. As I move more to the left of the screen (starting about the middle), the gap between the actual click and the location of the perceived click becomes larger. Clicking on the extreme left edge in the remote machine has the largest gap.

Ignore that. I think vertical is ok. Just horizontal is offset

1. What version of Windows (including SP) is RD Tabs running on?
2. What RDP Control is RD tabs using (go to Help->About RD Tabs)?
3. What version of Windows (including SP) are the three target servers?
4. Is the custom resolution larger or smaller than RD Tabs' automatic resolution (fit to app / fit to tab)?
5. If larger, are you scaling the resolution down (Display->Scale down oversized desktop to always fit in tab pane (no scrollbars))?

Does it make any difference what position the scrollbars are in for the extra-large remote desktop? In other words, panned hard left, is it the same amount of incorrect position as panned hard right?

I should note that all my test machines are 7 or XP now. I didn't know anybody still used Vista. 😉 😉

I know what you mean. We have VMware and I'm tempted to install an XP PRO virtual machine, maximize it and use it as my workstation. I can store it on my 500GB portable drive and while everyone else is packing up their laptop every night, I'll just put my PC in my pocket.

I'll do some more tests with different sizes to see if I can recreate it. I would also like to ask if you can test from another workstation to see if you can replicate the issue.

I installed on another vista machine and got the same result.

There must be something particular about your configuration. Are the same make and model? Do they update from the same update server?
