Hi, has anyone had any problems trying to export the favourites? I was trying to export and keep as a back up, but get error message "No Items Selected for Export!" even though they are selected.

I haven't run into this problem, but the layout of your favorites may be unique and you may have discovered a bug. If you don't mind, send me your user.config file in the Local Settings\Application Data\Avian_Waves folder for your version of RD Tabs in your user profile folder (Documents and Settings). Make sure that you disable password saving before you do this -- I don't want any confidential remote desktop passwords floating around the internet!!

Send me an email using the contact form on the home page and I'll reply and you'll have my email address -- I don't want it exposed on the web site for fear of spam bots!

Then you can attach your user.config and I can use it in a test environment and figure out why it won't export.

But before we go through all of this, are you using the latest version of RD Tabs? There was an export bug in an older version (forgot which one, but it was a few months ago).

I am using Version 1.1.2, but did an upgrade from version 1.1.1, dont know if that makes a diffrence

I originally posted this bug as a comment to "RDP 6.0 Stylin' with RD Tabs 1.1.0", but I can confirm that this still holds true for the latest version (1.1.2). Here is the original Post:

Export Favorites Bug: If the Display name does not match the 'Remote Computer' or IP, the favorite is not exported. if this is the only favorite being exported, an error is generated 'No Items were selected for export!'

When I have a display name like 'DB' and a remote computer of '192.168.0.12', it will not export, but if I change the display name to '192.168.0.12' it exports without error. just to confirm that it was not just requiring an IP, i also tried using a display name of 192.168.0.121. this did not work. only way I found it able to export is when the 2 fields match.

So, can I copy this user.config file to my other PC to copy my favorites and settings?
